Lesson 22: Creating Graphs from Excel Data - Make this
graph and develop from the spreadsheet a pie graph and a bar graph. Print all
three out.
Creating a graph from Excel data is easy.
Graphs created using Excel look great and are very functional. Excel allows you
to place your raw data and your chart on the same page. Before printing the
sheet, make sure you do a print preview first. The print preview gives you an
idea about how much space is used on the sheet and you can manipulate the size
of the graph using the graph's sizing handles to maximize the amount of space
used on the sheet.
To create a graph in Excel, do the following:
- Enter your data
- Highlight the entire table.
- Click the chart wizard button.
- Select the scatter plot and click next.
- Click next.
- Label the chart title, x-axis and y-axis. Click next.
- Click finish.
- Resize your graph using the sizing handles
- Click on the print preview button to see how your new graph fits on
the page. Adjust the size accordingly using the sizing handles.
